Members of the Omaha Soaring Club attended the annual Greater Omaha Aviation STEM Day, at the the Millard Airport this past Saturday.  This year, Bud S. displayed his motorized ‘Taurus’ glider.  I felt that Bud’s Taurus drew more attention than the L-23 has in past years.  It’s a very unique aircraft, that hasn’t been seen in the Omaha area before.  There were a lot of questions about the differences between motor gliders and traditional sailplanes.

Thanks to Bud for the use of the Taurus, and to John H., Jeff F., and Bob D. for the assistance in assembling and disassembling Bud’s glider for the event.
