Hi All,
Another beautiful day outside! The hottest days of summer may be behind us. We flew 12 flights today. Sean F. and Steve flew two flight lessons to start things off. Then Bob D. flew a sortie in the club Grob 102. Jose flew a flight lesson with Eric, followed by Ryan doing a back seat with Trevor in the front. They were the longest flight of the day an hour and nine minutes. We launched Steve in Jeff’s 1-26 so that Steve could attempt to complete his second two-hour flight. This would have completed the requirements for Steve’s Bronze Soaring Badge, but alas, he could only manage 54 minutes. Jeff remains the only active full member of OSCI with a Bronze Badge. Eric followed Steve in his 1-26. Dave flew a solo in the L23 while Jeff took his glider up, followed by Mark in his 1-26. Bob A. flew a solo in the L23 and Bud flew the hangar flight in his ASH 26 to test its motor at altitude. Frank did the towing today.
Thanks everyone for another fun and safe day of soaring.
OSCI
