Hi All,

We flew eight flights today.  First up was Jake K., flying with Bob C.  Then John H. flew a flight with Bob, and I flew with him, too.  Steve R. took Hanna up for a lesson, followed by Dave L. for a solo.  We launched Bob C. in his Russia then Jake and John flew a pair of solo flights to end the day.  Frank handled the towing.
.
Of note today was a Southwest Airlines 737 that appeared to fly through our airspace while Jake was aloft.  It may have been further off than it appeared (although a friend who was driving by saw this, too, and texted later to ask if that wasn’t abnormal), but the 737 made a fairly dramatic bank to move away from Jake.  Two weeks ago, a Cessna flew over mid-field at about 2,000′ without making any radio calls.  These types of encounters are very, very rare, but they serve as good reminders for us to keep scanning the sky when we’re flying.  We are not alone up there.
.
Thanks all.
