The Omaha Soaring Club Board of Directors met October 21, 2023 at BTA to discuss resolution of needed maintenance on the Pawnee.
Pros and cons of maintaining N7370Z versus purchasing a replacement tow plane were discussed.
A motion was made, and unanimously approved, to draft a scope of work for Bill Stukenholtz to proceed with repairs to 70Z.
The requirements for the AD on the wing struts were also discussed. A motion was made, and unanimously approved, to include purchase of new struts in the work to be done.
The status of the hold harmless agreement to be required for flying OSC aircraft that was introduced last year was also discussed. There was general agreement that this fills a need, but the wording of the
agreement requires further evaluation.
