Hello, all:

It was the day before Father’s Day, and not many club members came out to fly.  Most of the dad’s must have been getting yard work done today to free up their Sunday!

Today’s flights:

  • Bob A flew a flight in the L-23.
  • Mark B flew four solo pattern flights and one solo flight with a 3,000′ tow.
  • Jeff F flew one flight in the L-23 with Sean F riding along.  They were working on how best to use the 10′ Insta360 Selfie Stick to take close-up photos of gliders in flight.  Jeff also flew one flight in his 1-26.
  • Tom S flew one flight in the L-23 with Trevor F riding along.

The thermals were spotty, but Jeff and Sean F found one northeast of Bennington that they drifted with for 48 minutes, which was the longest flight of the day.  It was a good day to practice take-offs and landings and experiment with camera work.

Frank towed for us today.
