Hi, all:
We didn’t start flight operations until it was almost 1:00pm because of low clouds.  Once we started, we completed thirteen sorties, all towed no higher than 3,000′.  Later in the afternoon, there was a thunderstorm approaching, so we stopped flying at about 5:00pm.  Today’s flights:
  • Jim D. flew a total of four sorties, all with Steve riding along.  They started with a pattern tow and followed that up with a rope break.  These two sorties were low enough that the low clouds were not an issue.  Jim flew two more sorties, one with Steve riding along in the L-23, and one with Steve riding along in the 2-22.
  • Liam S. flew four sorties in the 2-22.
  • Jose C. flew a flight lesson with Steve instructing.
  • Ryan K. took a friend for a ride in the L-23.
  • Jeff F rigged a special camera on the nose of his glider and took a flight to (hopefully) shoot some good video.
  • Steve flew a sortie in Jeff’s glider, again hoping for some good video.

Frank did all the towing.

Regards,
